“How can I up my digital illustration skills?”

In October of 2023, I took it upon myself to again use the annual Inktober art challenge prompts as a chance to try some new things and improve my digital illustration skills. For the whole month, I spent a couple of hours a day with a digital pen and Adobe Photoshop honing my skills and seeing where my imagination took the one word inspirations. I gave myself the challenge of splitting up the first 30 prompts into groups of 10 and assigning each group a color (orange, yellow, red). The color that a prompt was associated with would be the only color I could use apart from black and white. I capped it off on the last day by using all three colors in an animation to close out the month. The following is a highlight of the months drawings:
